What You Will Contribute: Sr. Engineer, Product Regulatory Compliance provides oversight of maintenance Product Regulatory Compliance activities for all product lines, as assigned. Support Product Regulatory Compliance for Utility, Flow and Water Quality products, as assigned. Serve as Regulatory Lead for periodic agency audits at assigned BMI facilities. Position Resident at Badger Meter Brown Deer or Badger Meter Racine facilities. Senior Engineer, Product Regulatory Compliance provides oversight of maintenance Product Regulatory Compliance activities for a product line, as assigned. Acts as a mentor to other engineers.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Ensure initial and continued certifications for assigned products.
2. Sustaining engineering - Provides oversight of Product Regulatory Compliance maintenance activities for assigned product line(s)
3. Specialized focus with materials and compliance with NSF, UL. CSA, FM, RoHS, EPA and similar regulations.
4. Evaluate pending/upcoming regulatory & environmental changes and recommend course or action for Badger Meter to take in order to support compliance.
5. May attend agency discussion meetings to offer Badger Meter\'s position to upcoming regulation changes as needed.
6. Acts as NPD or another Project lead engineer for Product Regulatory Compliance actions.
7. Interface with corporate legal counsel to discuss impact of proposed regulatory changes.
8. Ensures company procedures are followed
9. Defines the scope of a tasks/project related to product certifications.
10. Develops or provides input to schedules and budgets.
11. Obtain Agency Certification quotations from global agencies relative to new/maintenance projects; prepare associated Purchase Request documentation
12. Draft, gain approval and publish product self-declarations, as required
13. Develops Wetted Part Lists (WPLs) with Lead Engineer, as required.
14. Recommends best Regulatory path to satisfy Product Marketing Specification requirements.
15. Coordinate transfer of test samples to agencies/testing resources and publishing latest versions of test reports and certification documents.
16. Represent the business at periodic agency surveillance audits to ensure continued certification approvals.
17. Coordinate resolution of Non Conformances resulting from periodic surveillance audits.
18. Executes schedule/budget to meet targets per approved project schedule.
19. Supports Engineering and Operations for product/process performance.
20. Acts as a mentor to other engineers
21. Support engineering change processes
