Rehab Service Coordinator; Pediatric Therapy

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday between the hours of 3:30am-5:30pm. Location: Deforest Therapy, but is a float role which will require coverage to all outpatient locations at times (Middleton, Monona, West, Central and McKee). We are seeking a dynamic Rehab Service Coordinator to join our Outpatient Therapy Team. Rehab Service Coordinators (RSC) facilitate the functioning of the outpatient therapy clinics in a variety of supportive functions. Daily responsibilities are divided into roles. RSCs will rotate between all roles, which include, but are not limited to:

• Administrative and clerical support - Preparing patient charts, reviewing therapy orders for accuracy, and monitoring spreadsheets for billing compliance needs.
• Front desk reception, scheduling, and patient registration processes. Over the counter sales and payment collection. Patient navigation from point of entry to exit from clinic.
• Clinical support, organizing, cleaning and prep of patient care areas, complete equipment maintenance requirements, and supply ordering.

This Float RSC position will be based at the Pediatric Therapy Clinic in Deforest but will travel between all outpatient therapy clinics to offer support as needed. There will be additional mileage pay if travelling between clinics. Sites include: Deforest, Middleton, Monona, West, Central and McKee at times).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work within the context of patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Work collaboratively with therapy team to support exceptional patient experience and outcomes.
• Embrace lifelong learning: willingly receive feedback and learn from team members, seek continual learning opportunities, and share feedback to promote the growth of the team.
• Engage in staff meetings and project groups to support exceptional patient care.
• Remain up to date with clinic operation changes and workflows (review meeting minutes, review email communications, etc.)
• Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and to take on additional responsibilities to support the team and process improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications Include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Epic Cadence scheduling
• One or more years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in an outpatient medical setting.
• Knowledge of general MS office systems including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of insurance – obtaining benefits, submitting authorizations, etc.
• Knowledge of registration process
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience assisting therapists with patient care as directed- ability to bend, twist, lift, etc.
