Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in monitoring production assembly processes with a focus on improving efficiency. You will participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System. Your role involves working closely with a diverse range of personnel, including Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, various management resources, and representatives from the U.S.G.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer-required acceptance criteria.
  • Provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements.
  • Write and incorporate detailed work instructions.
  • Plan and conduct quality audits, conveying findings through formal reporting.
  • Support day-to-day operations with quality inspectors.
  • Manage internal audits.

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining a QMS.
  • Experience dealing with US government and DoD/Military entities.
  • Comfortable with inspections experience in a shop floor/assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, Corrective Action, Audit, Control Plans, GD&T, and military standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with munitions and firearms.
  • Ability to digest and understand military specifications.
  • Familiarity with PPAP, Corrective Action Plans, Quality Assurance, First Article Inspection, Minitab, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Ambitious, hands-on, and able to think quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant experience is key; a four-year degree is not necessary.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Janesville, WI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr. Eligible for full-time benefits through end client.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Janesville, WI.
