In 2021 we moved into a brand new ISO 17025 accredited laboratory in Madison, WI designed to conduct food chemistry testing specializing in infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and a variety of botanicals. Our testing portfolio includes vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides and shelf-life studies. We test of a variety of instrumentation including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies. Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Support compliance of ISO/IEC 17025:2005
• Manage and optimize the sample registration process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Oversee the stability team ensuring proper storage, tracking and testing of samples over time.
• Lead and mentor Group Leaders, Technical Leaders, and Supervisors for both Sample Entry and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery of samples to the laboratory
• Collaborate with laboratory and client services teams to ensure timely sample processing
• Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance throughput and data quality
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal SOPs
• Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to strategic planning
• May be required to assume responsibilities of the Sr. Manager for the team should they be unavailable.
• Assists with performance evaluations, staffing decisions and other supervisory activities for the assigned functional groups.
• Complete understanding of Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing, Madison SOPs as they apply to food testing services.
• Provides technical guidance to the employees of Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing, Madison
• Assists in planning, marketing and project activities for assigned group.
• Trains and mentors staff across Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing, Madison
• Prepares protocols, reports, and other documents associated with Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing, Madison.
• Interprets and implements policies affecting staff, fiscal and technical management of designated groups.
• Discusses study problems or scope changes with appropriate personnel and suggests solutions and actions to solve problems. Manages the impact on time and cost.
• Works with Human Resources to implement appropriate affirmative action, salary administration, and communication programs within the department.
• Participates in client visits to Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing, Madison
• May have the additional responsibility of Managing Quality Systems.
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BS degree
• 6+ years of relevant experience. Experience may be substituted for education.
• 3+ years management experience or supervising teams
• Experience in the techniques of food, supplement, and ingredient analysis and/or microbiology.
• Familiar with industry standards, such as AOAC, USP, ISO 17025, etc.
• Experience with GLPs and cGMPs (for Dietary Supplements or Medicated Feeds)
• Skilled in performing presentations, leading meetings, time management, and planning.
