Machine Operator

Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for producing food colors according to approved formulations and procedures while meeting production goals within the production area. You will operate various equipment such as the seed extractor, cookers, filtering press, pumps, mixing equipment, evaporator, and forklift. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and sanitation in the production and warehouse areas, and participate in shipping and receiving activities including loading and unloading trucks. Additionally, you will conduct in-process lab tests and work with chemicals like caustics and acids. This role requires completing all necessary documentation and E1 transactions, preparing product samples, and working independently while collaborating with team members and leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Produce food colors according to approved formulations and procedures.
• Operate equipment including seed extractor, cookers, filtering press, various pumps, mixing equipment, evaporator, and forklift.
• Ensure housekeeping and sanitation of production and warehouse areas.
• Handle shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Complete in-process lab tests using scales, spectrometer, glassware, and pH meters.
• Work with chemicals, including caustics and acids.
• Complete necessary documentation and E1 transactions.
• Prepare product samples.
• Work independently while cooperating with co-associates and leadership.

Essential Skills:

• 2+ years machine operating experience at the same company.
• 2+ years general production work at the same company.
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to work independently with minor supervision.
• Experience in a GMP environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a production environment with chemicals and hot materials.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders, and maintain coordination and balance.
• Capability to handle up to 60 lbs. of materials and/or product continuously.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr. 401K match health, dental, vision insurance
