Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager serves as a key resource and point of contact for the School of Education leaders and employees. This position functions under the general supervision and direction of the Director for Human Resources. As a member of the Divisional Human Resources Team in the School of Education, this position will be responsible for supporting the School of Education departments/units with their workforce needs. This position will execute a wide range of HR functions including performance management, workforce/employee relations, data reporting, analysis and metrics, faculty and leadership recruitment and search processes, hiring and onboarding, compensation analysis, and training and development. Additionally, this position will have an emphasis on leadership coaching and support related to in depth compensation/data analysis and reporting, and faculty processes and initiatives, performance and misconduct, conflict resolution/mediation, leadership onboarding, accommodations and leaves of absence. The School of Education is committed to training and professional development to ensure employees are successful in their position. The person in this position must have a collaborative, service-oriented approach to facilitate and foster effective professional working relationships across the school and university. They will need to understand and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with tact and discretion. The incumbent must be able to balance working autonomously and as a part of a team to contribute to the effective and efficient day-to-day service and to the greater School of Education goals and mission.
