Floor Care Specialist

Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a Floor Care Specialist to join our Environmental Services team! The floor care specialist is responsible for all floor maintenance and provides a clean and bacteriologically safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Must be able to follow all applicable policies, procedures, schedules, disinfection, and safety requirements.

Hours: Full-time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. PM/Night rotation (10:30am – 7:00am) and every third weekend.

Experience/Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is beneficial.
• Previous experience in an environmental services department is beneficial.
• Preferred knowledge of cleaning materials.
• Demonstrates proficiency in operating numerous pieces of floor care equipment such as high-speed buffer, automatic scrubbing machine, carpet extractor, and wet vacs.
• Possesses the ability to perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on floor care equipment.
• Possesses ability to perform routine manual cleaning tasks for an extended period.
