Engineer II

Job Title

Job Requirements: Select and size structural steel components and materials, and ensure engineering and design tasks are completed in timely manner, within identified budget while meeting customer technical requirements. Collaborate with Project Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, and Project Manager on technical decisions and project deliverables. Assess projects cost impact associated with materials, engineering labor, and design related decisions comparatively to deliverable estimates. Utilize principles of designing for manufacturability. Design drawings for proposals to support Sales and Marketing department. Create and customize water/wastewater products and systems.

Other Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or a foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience. Must have two (2) years of experience with/in the following: - Mechanical design, engineering or project engineering; - Utilizing SAP to create part and bill of material (BOM); - Designing custom equipment by creating drawings and 3D models such as: general arrangements for submittal, assemblies, weldments, and fabrication drawings; - Performing engineering calculations such as: machine, structural, mechanical, torque, and hydraulic; - Designing machines in OEM environment; - 3D CAD proficiency; - Application of knowledge of welding (AWS D1.1 and ASME VIII); and - Application of knowledge of piping systems (pumps, valves, pressure tanks, and boilers). Telecommuting permitted up to three (3) days a week.
