Data & Solutions Engineer

Job Overview: The IT Data & Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in enabling enterprise-wide data and reporting capabilities across Komatsu. This role will focus on designing, building, and supporting Data Centric solutions that span across multiple business domains, including-but not limited to-Digital Transformation (DX), ERP, Customer Experience, Aftermarket, Finance, and Operations. This role is responsible for leveraging Komatsu\'s enterprise data platforms, with a primary focus on Palantir Foundry for data management and transformation, and Power BI for analytics and reporting. The successful candidate will enable cross-functional data initiatives by aligning technical solutions with business priorities, ensuring scalability, performance, and strong data governance.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, and maintain data pipelines, applications, and integrations leveraging Palantir technologies.
  • Implement high-performance, scalable data transformation workflows that ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions that add measurable value.
  • Align development to promote best practices for data management, security, and governance within Palantir environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across Palantir-based data systems to maintain continuous platform availability.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of Palantir tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Apply data modeling, integration, and visualization techniques to enable advanced analytical insights.
  • Support and manage the entire lifecycle of Palantir\'s data tools and associated services.
  • Uphold strict data protection and compliance standards in all data handling processes.
  • Contribute to the development of machine learning models and innovative AI solutions.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Hiring Range: At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $72,000-$80,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
