Contract Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Contract Manufacturing Engineer to address a significant backlog of work. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in CNC programming and setup, particularly with Fanuc-based CNC lathes. Experience with CNC verticals and horizontals is also beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Program and set up Fanuc-based CNC lathes.
• Support the programming and setup of Fanuc-based CNC verticals and horizontals.
• Facilitate process improvements and implement Six Sigma principles.
• Select appropriate tools and support machine setup.
• Conduct first piece sample tests and make necessary corrections to achieve desired statistical outcomes.

Essential Skills:

• Extensive experience in CNC programming and machining.
• Proficiency in operating CNC lathes, including 3, 4, and 5 Axis CNC lathes with bar feeders.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing engineering and process improvement.
• Knowledge of Solidworks and engineering principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with CNC machining and assembly processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

The role involves working in a manufacturing setting, focusing on process improvement and CNC operations. The environment requires precision and attention to detail, ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks. Dress code is appropriate for a manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Mequon, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
