Community Service Officer (CSO)

The City of Fond du Lac is accepting applications for the position of part-time (20 hrs/week) Community Service Officer (CSO) at the Police Department. The CSO program has been a beneficial program to the Fond du Lac Police Department for many years. A CSO generally assists the police department with community relations, district policing initiatives, urban blight reduction, crime prevention and community service activities, special events, parking enforcement, scene security, and even minor complaints to name a few of the CSO responsibilities. Because of the combined experience with our CSO program and their post-secondary education, many of our former CSO\'s have become successful police officers throughout Wisconsin. Other experience and qualifications: Requirements include: high school graduate or equivalent; possession of a valid Wisconsin driver\'s license with a good driving record; geographic knowledge of the City of Fond du Lac; and ability to interact with the public in a respectful, professional manner.
