The Mercyhealth Autism Services team is dedicated to supporting patients ages 5-22 through individualized, one-on-one therapy. Our team works closely with patients to build essential skills, achieve personal goals, and foster growth through play-based interventions and engaging activities.

Job Duties

  • Completes psychosocial assessments and treatment plans in cooperation with patient and multidisciplinary team.
  • Conducts a comprehensive assessment of the clinical needs of each patient prior to beginning individual, family or group therapy.
  • Works collaboratively with the patient to develop a treatment plan addressing patient\'s identified treatment goals.
  • Delivers behavioral health care in accordance with patient evaluation, treatment plan and within the scope of their license.
  • Works directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with Psychiatrist/NP.
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention.
  • Consults and coordinates care of patient with physician/NP, therapists and community agencies.
  • Provides appropriate discharge planning.
  • Refers patient or patient\'s family to other community resources.
  • Participates in clinical collaboration and/or psychiatry supervision to discuss cases and determine appropriate course of treatment.
  • Maintains pertinent patient data and documentation in medical record in accordance with state, TJC and Mercyhealth system guidelines.
  • Attends required meetings or staffing as indicated by Program Manager.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all Mercy Health System, State and JCAHO policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master\'s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or other related field and appropriate level of field experience and coursework.
  • Licensed to independently provide psychotherapy in Wisconsin (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
  • TACT Certified Level II
  • CPR Certified
  • Passing the Driver\'s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
