We are seeking to hire a licensed Project Engineer in our Civil/Track Design department, part of our thriving Railroad Services group. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with seasoned Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians, and contribute to projects for Class I, short line, and commuter rail clients. As a Track Engineer at Benesch, you will play a pivotal role in designing and engineering various rail and transit systems, including light rail (LRT), heavy rail (HRT), and commuter, freight. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment, closely coordinating with design teams to deliver innovative solutions for our clients.

Benesch’s Railroad Division is made up of highly skilled rail professionals, many of whom are former employees of operating railroads. This firsthand experience working to design and maintain active rail systems uniquely equips our team to develop innovative solutions to a wide variety of rail projects.

Location: This position offers a hybrid work schedule with the flexibility to work from the following offices that host a Railroad-Track team and focus on Railroad-Track business development: Kansas City, KS; Omaha, NE; Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL; Naperville, IL; Charlotte, NC; and Raleigh, NC.
