Engineering Career Services (ECS) is a small and dedicated team focused on serving all students in the College and our alumni. This team supports engineering students in getting internships, co-ops, and full-time jobs. The Career Services Advisor will meet one-on-one to advise undergraduate engineering students on a variety of career development needs including but not limited to: internship, co-op and job search strategies, resumes, cover letters, interviewing techniques and offer negotiation. This role will develop and lead workshops on career development topics for undergraduates and support courses managed within the Engineering Career Services unit including summer internship for academic credit. Additionally, this role will create and develop marketing and promotional materials for career-related programming, serve as advisor for Engineering SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising & Registration) and guide integration of career concepts into SOAR experience, and serve on the larger engineering career services team helping to facilitate large-scale events such as career fairs, student visits to industry partners, and alumni/student networking sessions. Position will require occasional evening hours during the academic year. Remote work may be available up to one day after a training period has been completed.
