The Brand Marketing and Social Media Intern will work closely with the County\'s Development Director who will provide real hands-on projects and daily tasks that use social media platforms and the website to promote and manage Sauk County\'s Land Made brand image. This is a paid internship from which the intern will gain valuable experience and have the opportunity to build a portfolio of work samples. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in brand marketing, social media management, website development and economic development within a professional environment. The internship may also potentially qualify for academic credit, depending on the requirements of the intern\'s academic program. Interns will be able to apply classroom-based knowledge to projects and gain essential skills needed to be career ready.

Website Management: Update and maintain the Sauk County WordPress websites, including content creation and enhancements such as blogs, images and text updates.
Social Media Development: Create and curate engaging content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to promote the Sauk County brand and events.
Content Creation: Assist with photography and video production, including editing and posting dynamic social media reels, stories and graphics.
Engagement and Analytics: Monitor social media interactions, respond to comments and track website traffic and engagement metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
Strategy Development: Support the development of marketing strategies for branded campaigns to effectively engage the target audience.
Regular Reporting: Provide progress updates and reports to the Development Director, collaborating with team members to ensure consistent messaging.
Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective
Highly organized
Ability to project prioritize and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience using WordPress CMS and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
Working knowledge of video editing tools (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Final Cut Pro) for social media reels/stories/shorts/graphics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to generate and execute fresh ideas
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and deadlines and collaborate with team members effectively
Experience with Google Analytics or other website analytics tools is a plus
