Automotive Service Writer

TJ\'s Auto & Collision Center is looking for a dedicated Automotive Service Writer to become a key point of contact between our customers, technicians, and sales team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on communication, problem-solving, and delivering a great customer experience without the pressure of a high-stress dealership atmosphere.

As a Service Writer, you\'ll be the front line of our service department, helping ensure repairs and customer requests are handled efficiently and accurately. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Writing, opening, and closing repair orders while maintaining clear documentation
• Scheduling service work and coordinating with technicians
• Communicating repair recommendations, updates, and options to customers
• Assisting with service-related sales and customer questions
• Ordering parts and supplies to keep operations running smoothly
• Reviewing and verifying service billing and department expenses
• Keeping the service desk and customer areas organized and professional

Schedule: Full-time position (40+ hours per week) Monday-Friday with alternating Saturdays. Typical hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

What We\'re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of automotive customer service experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Valid driver\'s license

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience as a service writer, advisor, or in a supervisory automotive role
