Guest Services Specialist

Guest Services Specialist 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period Hours scheduled between 7:30 am- 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday No holidays

Position Overview:

The Guest Services Specialists provide a positive first impression to everyone entering the facility by greeting them as they enter. Lending a helping hand to patients in and out of cars and wheelchairs, working closely with the Volunteers to provide way-finding. Helps with transportation services for patients and maintains a clean and organized working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides the highest level of customer service to a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Provides the highest level of confidentiality for all internal and external customers.
  • Provides a positive first impression to everyone entering the facility by greeting them as they enter.
  • Offers a lending hand to persons in and out of vehicles and pushing wheelchairs with 25-50lb push force.
  • Provide wheelchairs and escorts to destinations of patients/visitors throughout Winona Health's main campus (clinic and hospital).
  • Provide assistance for patients if they need help at the check-in kiosks.
  • Twice a day, will pick up and deliver lab specimens for various clinical departments.
  • Daily and as needed -- recharge electric scooters.
  • Keeps front entrance and work area clean and clutter-free (sweeping and vacuuming floors as needed; dusting as needed; wiping down with sanitizing clothes table tops, wheelchairs, and scooters).
  • Works closely with volunteers to provide way-finding and contact outside transportation services to pick up patients.
  • Check and replenish supplies as needed for patient sanitizing stations.
  • Enter Gift Shop sales in the point-of-sale system as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • High School/ GED/ or equivalent
  • One year of customer service

Preferred:

  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
