This role will provide comprehensive end-to-end technology support, encompassing equipment setup, server support, and management of cloud environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cloud technologies, Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid), and general desktop/server support, as well as some network competency. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously are essential.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tech Support Sorcery: Be the first line of defense (and second, if needed!) for remote and on-site users. Whether it's a frozen screen or a mysteriously vanishing file, you'll swoop in with solutions.
  • Device Whisperer: Build, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and all the magical peripherals that make work happen. You'll make tech setup look like a breeze.
  • Cloud Commander: Keep our cloud-hosted servers (mostly in Microsoft Azure) running like a dream. You'll monitor, maintain, and occasionally tame the cloud beasts.
  • Directory Defender: Manage our hybrid Active Directory like a boss—user accounts, permissions, group policies, and authentication spells are all in your toolkit.
  • Network Ninja: Monitor system performance, squash networking bugs, and troubleshoot application hiccups before they become full-blown chaos.
  • Microsoft 365 Maestro: Support our suite of Microsoft 365 tools—Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint—so our team can collaborate like rockstars.
  • Patch Paladin: Help with patch management, backups, and disaster recovery planning. You'll make sure we're always prepared for the unexpected.
  • Project Pathfinder: Lead and contribute to IT projects, keeping them on track, on time, and on budget. You'll be the glue that holds it all together.
  • Multitasking Marvel: Juggle support requests and IT initiatives like a circus pro—without dropping a single ticket.
  • Documentation Dynamo: Keep our IT playbook up to date with clear, helpful documentation. Future you (and your teammates) will thank you.
  • Vendor Liaison Extraordinaire: Work with external vendors and service providers to get things done, fix things fast, and keep the tech flowing.
  • Security Sensei: Share your wisdom and recommendations to make our IT infrastructure stronger, safer, and smarter.

Qualifications for the Job

  • 3+ years of IT support experience (desktop, server, and cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing Active Directory in both on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Solid background with Windows Server environments and Group Policy management.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Proficiency in building and troubleshooting desktops and laptops (hardware & software).
  • Multitasking skills — ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Preferred experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell).
  • Preferred familiarity with endpoint management tools (Intune, Autopilot, SCCM).
  • Preferred some project management.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting.
  • Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional loud noise.
  • Occasional varying environmental temperature changes.
