Job Summary:

Windsor Salt's Evaporation Facility in Windsor, Ontario has an opening for a Pan Room Operator (requiring 4th Class Operating Engineer qualification). This person will be responsible for operating the food grade evaporation operations and effectively communicating and problem-solving with the team to ensure production is running efficiently. The successful candidate will be able to work a 12-hour continental shift schedule.

**Please note that this position does not work in the powerhouse, but in the Pan Room of the salt evaporation operations. As a result, accumulating steam hours is not part of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Efficiently operating the Windsor Salt food grade evaporation operations
• Effectively communicating and problem-solving with the maintenance team
• Making a positive contribution by maintaining a workplace that is safe, healthy, and clean, by adhering to safety and quality standard practices
• Contributing to the Pan Room team by accomplishing other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
• Safety-conscious team player

In addition, this individual will have:

• Current Provincial certificate of qualification as a 4^th Class Operating Engineer
• Any other certifications, such as GMP, confined spaces and lock out training, will be considered an asset.

Team Environment:

This position is governed by a collective agreement. The starting hourly rate is $33.39, with the top rate (after three year progression) of $42.38.
