If your answer is yes, then we invite you to join us! A thrilling opportunity has opened up for a permanent full-time Ships Agency Operations Manager to become part of our team in Fremantle, Western Australia!

No two days are ever the same as a Ships Agency Operations Manager:

  • You will manage the business for your port, and drive quality and effectiveness in your operations, resources, and processes.
  • You will plan, deliver, and proactively achieve cost savings.
  • Ensure procedures relevant to operations, prefunding, approval processes, and account production is implemented and optimized.
  • You will work independently in the office, in ports, and onboard vessels to coordinate and support your assigned port calls yet be part of a team that is always ready to help each other.
  • You will be liaising with our client and its representatives, government authorities, crews, and vendors, and developing a strong local and industry network.
  • You will keep yourself abreast of new business and sales opportunities, port activities, and regulation changes.
  • Shipping is a 24/7 business, out of hours and weekend work will be required, and compensated by flexible working arrangements.

Who You Are:

  • You are a self-motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for achieving excellence.
  • While prior experience or exposure to the Shipping Industry is advantageous, we welcome candidates with a strong work ethic and the right attitude to learn and succeed.
  • Attention to detail, administrative proficiency, and a good grasp of computer skills are essential.
  • You thrive under pressure, meet deadlines effectively, and approach challenges as opportunities for growth.
  • Safety, compliance, and wellness are paramount to you and your team's success.
  • You must possess a valid Australian work permit, driver's license, and driving experience, along with eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
