Field Service Engineer - Entry-Level

Schedule: M-F Days

Pay Rate: $26.00/hr - $32.00/hr DOE

Location: Minneapolis, MN area

Travel: 60%-80% domestic or occasional international travel

Position Type: Full Time

Job Duties

  • Performs on-site service, installation, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoots equipment problems.
  • Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers.
  • Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Understands and adheres to all site fab protocol requirements.
  • Comprehends test equipment including various test meters, hand and power tools.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.

  • Ability to work well with other team members.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and strong partnership within Equipment Maintenance Team with superb functional teamwork.
  • Inclined to both mentor new Technicians and openly learn from experienced colleagues.
  • Values other points of view (including Management, Operations, Engineering, Factory Business Control, Fab IT Systems, and Clean Room Facilities teams).
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others to deliver quality repairs on a daily basis.
  • Ability to Travel 60%-80% domestic or occasional international travel/and or occasional overnight travel to the factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required. Subject to customer's business needs and requirements. All travel expenses paid.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
  • English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on skills and knowledge in mechanics and electronics.
  • Ability to use hand tools, meters, and read/interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Desire to learn new hands-on skills, work in a team and become familiar with a fab/clean room environment if not already.

Physical Effort/Activities: May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds.
