Principal Responsibilities (indicative and not exhaustive)

  • Provide assistance in general human resources consultations and corresponding follow-up measures, to ensure that high-quality and coherent human resources services are provided to clients.
  • Provide guidance and training in employment to other staff members, to support their development and increase knowledge of the human resources systems and procedures necessary for the performance of their duties.
  • Act as a liaison with other internal departments or offices on human resources matters (such as payroll, contracts, organization chart etc.), and facilitate the necessary information for human resources services to be provided timely.
  • Extract and compile human resources data concerning recruitment and selection of staff, contractual conditions, rights, performance, and training requirements, to support the needs for analysis and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support in various human resources activities in the assigned areas of activity, including the onboarding of new staff members in accordance with the relevant processes and procedures.
  • Maintain confidential staff records, human resources databases, and archives, to ensure that data and files are stored accurately and updated in accordance with established standards.
  • Prepare the various human resources documents needed in the specific area of activity (e.g., employment contracts, transfer letters, training-related documents, etc.), ensuring accuracy and respecting the established deadlines.
  • Utilize human resources management systems to enter and update a wide range of data, and assist in the monitoring of various deadlines (e.g., contract expiration, PACE, update of organization chart, etc.), ensuring compliance with established deadlines and accuracy of data.
  • Support the deployment of staff and related administrative measures, including the preparation of basic reports (dashboards), to facilitate an efficient human resources service that allows the WFP to respond quickly to a crisis.
  • Others as required.

Qualifications Required:

Education: Completion of secondary education. A degree in Human Resources Administration, Industrial/Labor Relations, Psychology, or another relevant field will be highly valued.

  • Minimum 5 years of post-secondary work experience in the human resources area in the public or private sector. One year in the humanitarian/development sector is desirable.
  • Experience in payroll administration, contract management, updating records and organization charts, as well as the preparation of dashboards.
  • Has provided ad hoc guidance to less experienced staff members.
  • Has organized information sessions for new hires as part of the onboarding process.
  • Experience in staff welfare and organizational development.
  • Has experience in occupational health and safety, developed and/or implemented plans on this subject.
  • Experience in managing management indicators.

Languages: Advanced proficiency, spoken and written, in Spanish. Intermediate proficiency in English will be valued.
