Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Lead Cook
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital - Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time | 40 hours/week
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 11am - 7:30pm with every other weekend and rotating holidays

What You Will Do

• This position assists the Executive Chef in overseeing the Cooks.
• This includes ensuring compliance to local and federal production, sanitation and safety standards, assisting in the training of new staff and notifying Facilities of any malfunctioning equipment.
• Functions as a Cook by preparing menu items utilizing standardized recipes for patients, cafeteria and the catered services.

What You Will Need

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management/Hospitality, preferred.
• Completion of an ACF (American Culinary Federation) accredited culinary arts or hospitality management program, preferred.
• Certification: Illinois Department of Public Health Sanitation Certification within 3 months of start date into position.
• Experience: a minimum of five years of food service experience or two years of leadership experience, preferred.
