Senior Network Engineer

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Network Engineer to support the AOUSC, this will be a remote position. Responsibilities include gathering information concerning the capabilities of company products, investigating technical capabilities, and staying abreast of developments in hardware and software. The role involves generating quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning, and design, ensuring compliance through formal verification methods. It also translates high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications, works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements, and establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development. The position also requires designing interfaces and bringing network and system elements together to work as a whole, assessing performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, and providing customer liaison and support for business development activities.

The candidate will coordinate planning, design, and installation of equipment, participate in system conceptual design and documentation, install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks, design, create, and build network services, equipment, and devices, generate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures, and monitor system performance and implement performance tuning. They will also review test plans/procedures and ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with 10+ years of networking engineering experience (or commensurate experience) and the ability to maintain a public trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range: The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
