Identity Engineer
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative Identity Engineer to join our Digital Engineering team. This role sits within our Customer Identity and Access Management capability, where you will support the delivery of secure and seamless digital experiences for our customers.
As an Identity Engineer, you will help maintain and improve identity services that support our digital platforms. You will work closely with a supportive, cross functional team, gaining hands on experience while learning and growing your skills. There will be opportunities to contribute ideas, develop your capability, and build your experience in identity and access management.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, is curious about technology, and is keen to develop their career in a supportive team environment.
What you'll do
- Support the day to day running and maintenance of CIAM solutions to keep services stable and secure.
- Help monitor identity services and assist with resolving incidents and issues.
- Support release and deployment activities across environments.
- Work with engineering teams to help integrate identity services into applications.
- Contribute to improving processes, automation, and team ways of working.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Follow standard processes for incidents, changes, and documentation.
- Participate in an on-call support roster with support from the team.
What will you bring?
- Some experience in engineering, software, or a related field, or relevant study.
- Experience or exposure to Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or other scripting languages.
- Basic awareness of identity protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, or SAML.
- Exposure to tools such as Git or CI CD platforms.
- Interest in learning Identity and Access Management (IAM) and how it supports digital experiences.
- Awareness of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar is helpful.
- Familiarity with Linux or willingness to learn.
- Exposure to any CIAM platform is preferred but not essential.
- A willingness to learn, ask questions, and develop new skills.
- A collaborative and positive team approach.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Ping Identity/ForgeRock.
- Awareness of Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Interest in cloud and platform engineering.
