Senior AI & Automation Engineer

The Senior AI & Automation Engineer is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI-driven automation solutions across the enterprise. This role focuses on building intelligent virtual agents, backend automation services, and scalable integrations using modern AI platforms and frameworks. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in conversational AI, agentic AI systems, generative AI, and Python-based automation, along with a solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and LLMOps concepts. You will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, QA partners, and other engineers to deliver high-quality AI solutions that automate workflows and improve employee experience across IT, HR, Procurement, and Operations. This role is hands-on and delivery-oriented, with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to shared technical standards. Key Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain intelligent chatbots and AI agents using platforms such as Moveworks (Agent Studio), Glean (Agents), Microsoft Power Virtual Agents, and similar tools.
• Build and manage Python-based automation scripts, backend services, and microservices to support AI-driven workflows.
• Implement and optimize LLM-powered solutions, including prompt engineering, conversational design, and contextual reasoning.
• Apply agentic AI concepts, including tool usage, multi-step reasoning, orchestration patterns, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Develop REST APIs and backend services to integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Workday, Microsoft 365, and other internal platforms.
• Support workflow automation using Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI agent performance, reliability, and response accuracy using analytics, logging, and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with QA testers and automation engineers to validate AI workflows, integrations, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Participate in test automation, regression testing, and release validation activities.
• Work within Agile/Scrum delivery models, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation for designs, configurations, deployments, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior developers and support engineers transitioning into AI and automation development.
