About the opportunity:
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local is a welcoming, inclusive, and community-based service supporting people to connect with the care they need, in a way that works for them.
As our Service Support Officer, you'll play a key role in creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone who visits – whether it's participants, carers, families, or service partners.
You'll be the friendly face as community members visit the service and the calm voice on the phone, helping people feel respected and at ease from the moment they reach out. You'll also support the day-to-day running of the service; keeping things organized and well-coordinated so that, together, the team are better equipped to focus on delivering person-centered care.
About you:
You're someone who leads with empathy, warmth, and respect. Whether you're welcoming someone in person or helping over the phone, you know how to create a calm and respectful space – especially for people who may be reaching out during a vulnerable time.
You're organized, flexible, and confident managing a range of tasks while keeping people at the center of your work. You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you're the kind of person who notices the small things that help others feel supported.
