Senior Systems Operation Engineer

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operation Engineer.

In this role, you will:

Develop and maintain tools and processes for automating infrastructure deployment and management
Design, implement, and improve monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve potential issues
Collaborate with development teams to ensure new services and features are launched with operational excellence
Participate in on-call rotations to respond to incidents and ensure service availability 24/7
Conduct post-incident reviews and implement measures to prevent recurring issues
Perform capacity planning to ensure the system can handle projected growth with traffic spikes
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system performance, reliability, and security
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and improve existing systems and processes

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking
Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, .Net)
Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration platform (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure as code tools like Ansible, Terraform
Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipeline
Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
Familiarity with security best practices protocols
Prior experience in an SRE role or similar capacity
