Senior Network Engineer
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Network Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in implementing network security policies across routers and firewalls
- Manage production networks including Internet Protocol backbone, data centers and edge pops across the globe
- Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services
- Identify gaps, risks and issues and navigate organizational structure to resolve them
- Perform quarterly proactive network testing to ensure proper functioning and reliability of the network
- Investigate and remediate network capacity related issues
- Apply knowledge of security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions
- Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis
- Deliver comprehensive and maintenance plans for change management review and approval
- Mentor and train network operations team in the installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Partner cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams in order to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of applied workflow automation development
- 3+ years of Linux administration
- 3+ years experience with Virtual Machine hosted deployments
- Experience with network automation, visualization, and diagramming applications
- Experience in integration of applications and application data
- Working knowledge of lifecycle management, including implementation, maintenance, patching, health checks, application capacity planning, and decommissioning
- Experience in a large corporation/enterprise environment with 10's of 1000's of devices
- Good understanding of management process frameworks, such as ITIL
Job Expectations:
- Experience on any two or more of Network Management tools & applications like HPNA, Broadcom DX NetOps, DX O2, Arista CVaaS, FORTINET CLOUD, Aruba UXI, Arista Awake, Netscout, Arista DMF
- 3+ years Linux operating systems administration
- 3+ years of working experience on any of the network management tools like performance/fault or configuration management tools
- 3+ years of shell/command-line experience or support of Perl, Python, or other development/scripting language
- Working knowledge on Big Data solutions like Elastic Search, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Splunk etc.
- 2+ year of Agile Delivery experience
- CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge with 7+ years of network domain knowledge on all areas including network designing, troubleshooting network issues in large scale enterprises with vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, F5 etc.
- Experience with configuration management and automations on Network devices, Telemetry data, Data streaming, traffic analysis
- Ability to understand customer requirements, analyze them, and deliver an appropriate implementation through our enterprise network monitoring and management solutions
- Great communication (written and oral), presentation development, quick learning, self-initiated
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint, Teams/Skype and other chat and collaboration applications
- Good understand on deploying applications on container-based platform (OCP), OVA file deployments, SSL Certifications know-how
