Securities Operations Associate

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Associate as part of the Trust Closely Held/Specialty Asset Services Support team within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. The Trust Closely Held/Specialty Asset Services Support team focuses on transaction processing related activities for non-marketable securities, oil, gas, mineral, real estate, and insurance assets on trust accounts along with other specified trust functions as deemed applicable.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or process extensive knowledge of systems
  • Provide ideas for improving or implementing processes
  • Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquiries and reconciling transactions
  • Review time sensitive documents
  • Provide training or work direction to less experienced staff
  • Address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department
  • Lead or participate in projects
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 6+ months of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of trust operations experience
  • Understanding of closely held and/or specialty assets related to oil, gas, mineral, real estate or insurance assets
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo Trust operations applications and systems such as: SEI Trust 3000 and TRMS (Trust Money Movement Systems)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilizing search tools to find information
  • Ability to research and report on variety of issues and possesses solid problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgement

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work hybrid schedule
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Posting Location: Minneapolis, MN

Pay Range: $27.88 - $41.83
