Operations Manager

Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Manager for as part of Consumer and Small Business Banking Operation within the Cash Management Service Operations.

In this role, you will:

  1. Manage and develop one or more specialized customer service and operations functional teams within Operations area with complex and risk in functional area
  2. Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
  3. Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
  4. Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
  5. Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to more experienced management
  6. Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
  7. Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
  8. Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  9. Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
  10. Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  11. Lead team to achieve objectives
  12. Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
  13. Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Cash Management Services Operations experience
  • Workforce management experience including: directing activities of team members, performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Cash management operating system experience
  • Ability to identify risks and propose mitigation plans
  • Ability to manage to production goals, deadlines, and various metrics including capacity planning, forecasting, process improvement, and measurements
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management
  • Experience leading other exempt level managers
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Adaptability and ability to think on your feet to adjust and react to daily operations issues
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements
  • Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Job Expectations:

  • Flexibility and willing to work non-standard hours; including holidays, weekends & extended shifts.
  • This is a Monday - Friday position with a start time of 7:00am-4:00pm. Scheduled and time will be adjusted according to the opening and closing times of the vault.
