Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Services Consultant to drive technology due diligence for M&A and divestiture activities. This position is responsible for leading and performing Technology due diligence associated with M&A or divestiture activity at the bank. Working closely with technology subject matter experts, Legal, Finance, business, and corporate partners, this role will assess the Technology impacts of transactions, documenting the inventory of Technology assets impacted, material transaction issues, closing conditions, provide feedback on definitive agreements, as well as a high-level timeline required for integration or separation alongside associated costs of the integration/separation. The person will be a trusted leader, effective in setting expectations and holding partners accountable and have the ability to influence and negotiate for various problem-solving situations.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate due diligence for technology across impacted domains on all transactions.
- Document and maintain a detailed inventory of all affected technology assets, infrastructure, and personnel.
- Serve as liaison between technology, business, and enterprise stakeholders (Finance, HR, Legal, Supply Chain).
- Support Corporate Development with Virtual Data Room requirements and data extraction for analysis.
- Represent technology teams in diligence meetings with buyers/sellers, ensuring all follow-ups are addressed.
- Deliver consolidated Technology Due Diligence reports, including material issues, closing conditions, and recommendations.
- Track Technology Leadership Team acknowledgments in line with internal controls.
- Meet all deliverables within deadlines set by corporate development and business leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 5+ years' experience in roles that support transaction work either in house M&A / Divestitures or consulting experience.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Proven technology due diligence experience in financial services M&A/integration/separation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience leading large-scale M&A/divestiture projects.
- Experience managing large-scale technology initiatives in a major line of business.
- Demonstrated influence at all organizational levels, especially senior management.
- Proficiency with AI platforms and tools such as Microsoft CoPilot and/or Google Notebook as well as familiarity with LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and tool integration.
- Process engineering, continuous improvement experience (Six Sigma preferred).
- Advanced degree in Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Project management qualifications.

Pay Range:
For NJ/CA locations only: $143,000 - $224,000 USD Annual
For NC locations only: $119,000 - $187,000 USD Annual
