Senior Trade Operations Analyst

A Senior Trade Operations Analyst will work as part of a team in a fast-paced, fluid environment where ability to prioritize multiple tasks while experiencing short-term interruptions are highly valued. The incumbent will work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues around the world. The primary responsibilities of a Senior Trade Operations Analyst will be problem solving and troubleshooting trade issues, running initiatives/projects, and acting as an escalation to more junior team members.

A Senior Trade Operations Analyst will:

  • Research and resolve equity and fixed income trade and FX discrepancies by interacting with brokers, banks, and Wellington personnel
  • Overdraft claims research and resolution, including zero tolerant clients and CSDR debits and credits
  • Oversee workflows performed by our offshore team (Accenture)
  • Instruct trades and trade amendments to service providers when necessary
  • Oversee external service providers (i.e. brokers, banks and vendors)
  • Manage strategic projects and initiatives as well as prioritizing information technology needs and requirements
  • Mitigate risk through strong procedural discipline and prudent judgement
  • Research and evaluate operational requirements of new market/asset types being considered for investment or changes to existing markets
  • Assist other areas of the firm to support client needs and respond to general custody and trading inquires

A Trade Operations Analyst must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure, possess a high degree of analytical ability and can plan/prioritize tasks in a fluid environment. Team orientation and the ability to work in concert with external service providers and colleagues located around the world are essential. Successful candidates must have impeccable integrity, a fiduciary mindset, and the ability to consistently place the interest of our clients as the number one factor in judgment, decision-making and actions. Knowledge of equities, fixed income and foreign exchange is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills focused on accuracy and efficiency.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and setting priorities when working within time constraints.
  • In-depth knowledge of Global Markets, and experience liaising with banks and brokers.
  • Experience with commonly used business applications such as Bank websites, ALERT, OASYS, Bloomberg, Omgeo Connect/CTM, Omgeo TradeSuite and SWIFT preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel) is required and technical skills, such as Python, PL SQL, will be viewed favorably
