As an operations supervisor at our Wegmans Warehouse, you will be responsible for coordinating tasks and executing daily warehouse operations. You will oversee a team of employees in various roles who are responsible for receiving vendor products and picking orders that will be delivered to our stores. What You'll Do
- Coordinate tasks and execute plans to meet productivity standards
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and communicate productivity status to team
- Hold employees accountable for performance through clear expectations of duties and results
- Ensure cold chain and food safety initiatives are followed, keep food fresh and ensure the highest quality product reaches our stores
- Identify ways to improve operations including reducing expenses, managing inventory, and increasing efficiency and productivity
- Meet the established goals for productivity by making sure that individual and departmental tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of previous experience leading a team
- Computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous distribution center/warehouse experience
