The successful candidate will be supporting manufacturing operations, dealing with requirements from multiple facilities and effectively prioritising resources to minimise impact on service level and achieve KPI targets.
The Role
- Adherence to H&S and Quality Standards, ensuring safe ways of working and audit readiness at all times.
- Lead the multi-disciplined team in effective coordination and prioritisation of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks across multiple plants.
- Provide support with equipment problem-solving activities on shift and coach the team on problem-solving techniques.
- Manage/support the development, objective setting, performance reviews and adherence to all HR processes and procedures for the team.
- Provide, and support with, shift reports, both manufacturing and engineering based, including attendance at DOR. Effective use of the CMMS (computerised Maintenance Management System).
- To work to, and ensure the team comply with, company practices, procedures, permits, and ensure H&S and Food Safety standard and legal compliance rules are maintained during all activities carried out at all times.
- Adhere to maintenance and business excellence standards, and identify opportunities to improve.
- Support, coach and mentor engineers, apprentices, peers and operators, including the transfer of basic engineering tasks to operators.
- Achievement of Engineering and Manufacturing KPIs
- To seek out improvement opportunities across the business.
- To provide engineering support to production, resolving breakdowns and assisting with the resolution of priority engineering issues when manning levels require LE support
What We Need From You
Key Skills
- Recognised Mechanical and Electrical engineering qualification (HNC preferred); or Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Previous line management experience
- Experience in Food manufacturing environments
- IOSH Certification
