✨ About The Role
- The role involves working closely with digital and mixed signal designers to develop the next generation of mining ASIC, focusing on block level physical implementation, timing, integration, and physical verification
- Responsibilities include improving capacity and scalability of full chip design flows, developing scripts to enhance physical design infrastructure, and collaborating with teammates on various aspects of block delivery
- The position requires tapping out multiple chips in 5nm and below, understanding timing constraints and reports, and having strong scripting skills in Python/Perl/shell/tcl
- The successful candidate will be part of a distributed team across the U.S. and Canada, operating in a flat meritocracy organization, with the opportunity to address challenges in the bitcoin mining ecosystem

âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced ASIC Physical Design Engineer with a minimum of 5-8 years in the industry, preferably with a background in bitcoin mining or related fields
- Proficient in using Synopsys ICC2/Fusion Compiler and PrimeTime, with a strong understanding of the full design cycle from RTL to GDSII
- Skilled in block level P&R, integration, and timing closure, with prior experience in custom physical design and relative placement
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing start-up environment, collaborating with teammates from different functions and time zones
- Strong communication skills, with the capability to lead and work on critical aspects of ASIC design projects
