Hybrid Role in Field and Online Surveillance Services

This is a hybrid role offering and excellent opportunity for the right candidate to get exposure to both field and online surveillance services alike. You will be supporting the field crew in installing, commissioning, or troubleshooting hardware on wellsite. Where needed, you will also fill in for surveillance team, which are the end users of the data generated in real-time through the field hardware, and help make critical recommendations for the customers on their wells.

Surveillance

Monitor and analyze real-time well performance for well stock across various lift types, but mainly ESP and SRP wells using Weatherford's ForeSite platform. Detect anomalies, validate data, and support optimization initiatives to maximize uptime and recovery.

Surveillance Key Responsibilities

  • Real-time surveillance: Monitor ESP and SRP wells via ForeSite dashboards and track KPIs in 12 hour shifts
  • Anomaly detection: Identify early signs of pump failure, gas lock, scale buildup, or rod string issues.
  • Data validation: Ensure sensor accuracy and integrity of ForeSite data streams.
  • Daily reporting: Prepare production and performance summaries; recommend corrective actions.
  • Optimization support: Assist in adjusting pump speed, fluid level control, and chemical injection strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work with field teams, maintenance, and Weatherford specialists for rapid troubleshooting.
  • Compliance: Follow HSE and operational standards.

Field Services Key Responsibilities

  • Frequent travel to remote well sites
  • Deploy artificial lift based automation hardware, edge devices, VSDs, RTUs, and multiphase meters at well sites and production facilities.
  • Configure and calibrate equipment to meet operational and safety standards.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on field devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and communication issues in real-time.
  • Ensure seamless integration and validate data acquisition of edge, RTUs, and other field devices with SCADA, DCS, and cloud platforms.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to field operators.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and service reports.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas field operations, with ALS based automation systems and digital devices.
  • Strong knowledge of ALS-automation hardware, VSD programming, RTU configuration, and flow measurement technologies.
  • Familiarity with edge computing, IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA), and SCADA systems.
  • Experience with ESP/SRP fundamentals and digital monitoring platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of ALS hardware, VSD programming, RTU configuration, and flow measurement technologies.
  • Familiarity with edge computing, IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA), and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.
  • Eligible to work in Egypt without sponsorship.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
