Operations Supervisor- TRS

The Operations Supervisor- TRS will operate and maintain torque turn units / power tongs in accordance with approved industry standards, quality procedures, safety guidelines and within the scope of the technician's qualifications and competencies to ensure integrity of the client's wells, accurately complete and maintain logs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of all equipment load-outs to client job sites as per customer requests.
• Designate duties and oversee work of TRS personnel, inclusive of yard personnel and offshore personnel whenever present at the Operations base.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers in order to achieve work goals, as well as suggest changes in work conditions and use of equipment to increase work efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Coordinate activities with the Operations Manager and offshore supervisors to ensure full preparation and delivery of all equipment as required by the client in accordance to QHSE policies.
• May be required to perform operational duties on clients' well site as a TRS offshore crew member as may be dictated by the Operations Manager.
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at the TRS base including bathrooms, lunch rooms, facility work areas and offices.
• Coordinate with management to maintain a smooth operation.
• Evaluate shop personnel relative to job performance recommending incentives, promotions, hiring and firing.
• Enforce safety regulations and assure safe working conditions.
• Actively participate in all Quality and HSE improvement activities of the organization including:
• Reporting all nonconformities
• Suggest preventative actions for any incident that may occur
• Correct any incidents that occur while performing the job
• Know and understand the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, operating and technical procedures and work instructions.
• Must understand and comply with all safety and environmental regulations and company policies of Weatherford.
• Required to work on a 24hour call basis.
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Minimum of 5+ years experience in a Supervisor role, TRS experience preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Individual must be able to follow instructions.
• Ability to mentor entry level field personnel.
• Good project management skills.
• Should be able to work closely with internal and external customers.
• Self motivated and committed to service quality a must.
• Thorough knowledge of the Weatherford inventory management system (JD Edwards or equivalent) preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
