We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive (Construction Solutions) to join our dynamic team in New York City. This pivotal role focuses on driving sales by connecting leading manufacturers with top construction companies, architect firms, and other key stakeholders in the NYC metro area, including Westchester and Long Island. As a key member of our sales team, you will leverage your expertise to sell a diverse range of premium construction products and services, such as roofing, insulation, restoration materials, waterproofing, air and vapor barriers, expansion joints, pavers, and solutions for Local Law 126 compliance. Your efforts will directly contribute to significant business growth, fostering strong client relationships and delivering tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain Relationships : Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with construction companies, architect firms, contractors, and other key stakeholders, particularly in Westchester and Long Island. Act as a trusted advisor to understand their needs and recommend customized product solutions.
- Drive Sales Performance : Present and sell a wide range of high-quality construction products, including commercial roofing, insulation, restoration materials, waterproofing, air and vapor barriers, expansion joints, pavers, and solutions compliant with Local Law 126. Utilize effective negotiation and closing techniques to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Develop Sales Strategies : Create and implement strategic sales plans to drive business growth, identifying new opportunities and expanding market presence in the NYC metro area. Leverage industry knowledge to position our products as the preferred choice.
- Stay Industry-Informed : Continuously monitor industry trends, product innovations, and the competitive landscape to provide cutting-edge solutions. Stay updated on advancements in construction materials and regulations, such as Local Law 126, to offer informed recommendations.
- Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with broader business strategies. Ensure a seamless customer experience from initial outreach to post-sale support, delivering exceptional service at every stage.
- Maintain Accurate Records : Track sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM tools. Provide regular reports and data-driven insights to the management team to inform strategic decision-making.
- Specialized Expertise : Leverage experience as a commercial roofing salesman, particularly in selling roofing products to contractors in Westchester and Long Island, to strengthen client relationships and drive sales in these key markets.
Qualifications
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the construction industry, with a strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Specific experience as a commercial roofing salesman selling to contractors in Westchester and Long Island is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge : Deep understanding of construction products and services, including roofing, insulation, waterproofing, and related materials. Ability to effectively communicate technical details to diverse stakeholders.
- Skills : Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Strong analytical skills to assess sales data, market trends, and client needs to inform strategies.
- Drive and Initiative : Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a results-driven mindset. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools to maintain accurate records and provide actionable insights.
Compensation
- Base Salary : $80,000 annually.
- Commission Structure : Competitive commission package based on sales performance, with average commissions ranging from $500 to $800 per sale.
- Earning Potential : Total yearly earnings potential of $150,000 to $200,000 , driven by a combination of base salary and performance-based commissions.
