Garment Industry Sales Executive

Line Apparel LLC is a Los Angeles based apparel design and wholesale company specializing in off-price and private label programs. We deliver trend driven, value focused apparel to major national retailers including DD's DISCOUNTS, Burlington, Ross, and select private label partners across women's, junior's, men's, and contemporary categories. Our team manages every stage of the apparel lifecycle from conceptual design, trend research, and fabric sourcing to production and delivery, allowing us to move quickly while maintaining strong cost control and quality standards. We are experienced in developing programs that meet the demands of high volume, fast turn retail and understand the importance of execution, timing, and margin in the off-price environment. We are passionate about creating well-made, relevant garments that resonate with today's consumer and perform at retail. Equally important, we focus on building long-term relationships with our retail partners by being responsive, reliable, and solutions-driven. We are seeking an experienced Garment Industry Sales Executive with a strong background in off-price and private label apparel sales to drive revenue growth by expanding and managing relationships with national off-price retailers, while also developing new private label opportunities. This role is ideal for a proven sales professional who thrives on building strong buyer relationships, opening new doors, and closing high volume programs in a fast paced apparel environment. The ideal candidate understands margin driven buying, volume programs, tight timelines, and cost negotiations, and can work closely with internal design, production, and sourcing teams to successfully close, execute, and deliver profitable programs. You will represent the company to retail partners, develop account specific sales strategies, and play a key role in strengthening existing accounts while driving new business.

Responsibilities

  • Retail Account Development: Identify, target, and secure new retail accounts across Los Angeles and nationally, including boutiques, multi-store chains, and specialty stores. Actively grow our footprint in key markets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with buyers, store managers, and decision-makers. Serve as a trusted advisor to retail clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies for each account and territory. Prepare presentations, product line sheets, and sample collections to effectively showcase seasonal lines.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closing: Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and agreements. Close sales that meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaboration & Product Feedback: Partner with internal teams — design, production, and marketing — to ensure product readiness, timely delivery, and client satisfaction. Provide feedback from the market to help shape future collections
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences. Translate insights into actionable strategies to drive sales and maintain a competitive edge
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline, and sales metrics in CRM systems. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for leadership review.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings. Promote the brand's vision, aesthetic, and quality standards to build awareness and credibility in the market

Qualifications

  • Proven experience selling apparel or garments into retail, with a robust network of industry contacts and decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different retail audiences.
  • Strong understanding of apparel production, merchandising, and retail buying processes.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative approach to solving sales challenges and identifying opportunities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a passion for fashion and a deep understanding of market trends.
  • Willingness to live in Los Angeles or relocate to the area for the role.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Uncapped commission structure based on performance, offering significant earning potential.
