Public Service Maintenance Worker A-1 - Parks
The Public Service Maintenance Worker A-1 Parks will maintain field time records, prepare reports of work in progress, upkeep grounds of the property using various power tools or heavy equipment. This position typically performs a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, digging, raking, litter picking, shelter janitorial, brush chipping, weed whipping, power snow blowing, hand snow shoveling, and misc. related duties.
Required Tasks
- Repair of grounds and structures.
- Maintain field time records; prepare reports of work in progress and materials utilized.
- Operate various equipment - transport vans, A truck and trailers, backhoe, front-end loaders, Bob Cat utility vehicles, tractors, mowers and truck with now plows.
- Litter pickup, janitorial, tree trimming and brush chipping.
- Weed whipping, chain saws, power plows, power snow blowing and hand now shoveling.
- Clean equipment, check vehicle fluid levels.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience Requirements
- Must have valid State of Michigan Commercial Driver's License with type "A" with Air Brake endorsement.
- Applicants must obtain a CDL "N" endorsement within the first three (3) months of employment or promotion.
