Sr District Sales Manager (PA/VA/MD/DC)

The Pennsylvania District/Mid Atlantic of the US is home to many of the an extremely diverse set of customers from Pharma to Food to Academic in nature. This area continues to grow and expand due to the diversity of the customer base. Waters is looking for a Sr District Sales Manager (PA/VA/MD/DC) who has demonstrated themselves to be a leader, to handle our Pennsylvania District Sales team. This is a great opportunity to lead a team of outstanding sales and support people, while also getting to work for a company that is focused on delivering benefit to our customers, employees, community, and shareholders.

Responsibilities

  1. The District Sales Manager must be a highly motivated, results oriented Leader with proven track record to motivate and develop a field sales and support organization.
  2. Must have an ability to pro-actively identify and resolve problems, control costs, and improve the efficiency of a sales team.
  3. Direct sales and support responsibility for the Midwest District revenue including achieving financial objectives for orders, sales, margin, and spending budgets.
  4. Responsible for collaboration with field and worldwide marketing groups to build a dynamic and high reaching business plan to improve market share and achieve budget in all geographic, product and market segments.
  5. Establishes, reinforces, and builds upon strategic customer relationships and Center of Innovations. A major responsibility will be to establish strategic relationships with the executive levels of major accounts and ensure that their direct reports establish and maintain these relationships as well.
  6. Ensure a truly great customer experience. This includes making sure the sales and support team are highly passionate about customer engagement and success
  7. Developing your direct reports to improve sales performance and enable career growth.

Qualifications

  • BS/Masters/PhD in a scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology, or biochemistry) or a science-related field of study
  • At least 5 years direct sales experience. Management experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background in analytical technologies, LC/MS preferred.
  • Strong solid understanding of the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical market space
  • Experience with Salesforce or other Sales and Customer platforms
  • Committed and hard working for results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organization / planning / time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Mature disposition, positive attitude, and strong sense of dedication
  • Adaptive to dynamic and changing environment
