Position Summary: Homebound Residential Care is a licensed residential group home supporting youth ages 13-18 in the foster care system. Our mission is to provide behavioral health support and life stability in a trauma-informed, home-like setting. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director to lead and manage the daily operations of our 5-bed group home, overseeing a team of 10-12 staff members. This role combines leadership, administrative oversight, and direct engagement with both youth and staff to ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and high-quality care. The ideal candidate brings a passion for youth development, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead with empathy, accountability, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Oversight & Development
- Collaborate with the Case Manager and Program Manager to ensure residents receive proper supervision, resources, care, and therapeutic services.
- Be able to perform the role of Program Manager in the absence of a Program Manager.
- Review documentation and reports to verify compliance and quality of care.
- Ensure youth are progressing toward treatment goals and building positive, healthy relationships.
- Order and manage supplies for youth and office needs.
- Review and approve staff schedules and timesheets for payroll.
- Maintain appropriate staffing ratios and schedule coverage.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with all licensing standards, including staff qualifications, youth care plans, medication protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation for residents and staff.
- Prepare for and lead licensing audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Monitor staff training requirements and arrange additional trainings as needed.
- Staff Leadership & Supervision
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate team members including Leads, Case Managers, Direct Care Workers, and support staff.
- Foster a supportive, accountable work culture focused on professional growth and trauma-informed care.
- Ensure staff maintain professional boundaries, ethical practices, and safety protocols.
- Resident Services & Safety
- Ensure a nurturing, structured, and safe environment that promotes emotional and behavioral stability.
- Provide supervision and day to day care to residents as needed.
- Approve and oversee individualized service plans for each resident.
- Engage directly with residents to monitor progress, offer mentorship, and ensure their needs are met.
- Lead crisis response efforts, review incident reports, and implement follow-up actions.
- Administrative and HR Duties
- Create and implement staff schedule to ensure ratio coverage.
- Manage timesheet, payroll and time off request.
- Participate in budget planning and financial oversight in collaboration with ownership.
- Serve as the primary contact for licensing agencies, social workers, and community stakeholders.
- Support long-term program development, strategic planning, and community outreach.
