At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
As a technical design engineer working closely with a team of engineers, you will be supporting the design, analysis, development and testing of primary and secondary structures for the New Glenn second stage. You will share the team's impact on all aspects of the product lifecycle. You will develop conceptual designs, participate in our design review process, conduct trade studies, fabricate hardware, and execute tests. Under supervision, you will bring your designs to release maturity through detailed design, drafting, and drawing creation. You will be responsible for coordinating design updates and maintaining schedules, and plans. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams to procure, fabricate, test, and ultimately fly the hardware you have helped craft. As part of a small, hardworking, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the design, drafting, development, testing, and qualification of structural subsystems for New Glenn's second stage and payload accommodations team. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
