You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the Nuclear Inspection Division, Nuclear Quality Control Office of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities include developing special process specifications, prescribing working conditions such as extreme cleanliness requirements, and serving as a technical consultant to responsible personnel in other segments of the Shipyard organization. You will determine whether a routing approach is satisfactory or whether special considerations must be given to solve the intricate problems associated with the nuclear reactor plant. You will develop the documentation for modifying guidelines based on the results of working through problems. You will coordinate with the necessary personnel within and outside the organization to resolve questions and conflicts.
Requirements include at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer planning, executing, and supervising a nuclear quality control program (e.g. surveillances, audits, evaluations, and assessments) by providing technical direction of nuclear work in an industrial environment to comply with all radiological regulations.

Education requirements include successful completion of a professional engineering degree or current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
