Staff Software Engineer, BigQuery Security

We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our BigQuery Security team, dedicated to safeguarding the world's data within Google's leading server-less data warehouse. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data security and software development to design, implement, and maintain security solutions for BigQuery. You will work directly to impact the privacy and protection of sensitive data for millions of users and organizations worldwide.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate and enhance the security of existing BigQuery components, addressing potential vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and security experts to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver comprehensive security solutions.
• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and threats in data security, applying your knowledge to strengthen BigQuery's security posture.
• Participate in security incident response, analyzing and mitigating threats to minimize the impact on BigQuery users.
