Salary: $214311/year to $240240/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus or equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
Duties: Help build the next generation of systems behind Meta's products, create web and/or mobile applications that reach over two billion people, and build high volume servers to support content. Harness passion for technology and undergraduate-level knowledge, and help build highly scalable performant solutions. Develop knowledge of algorithms and core computer science concepts and ability to apply that knowledge to real world systems with support and guidance from direct supervisor. With solutions provided by a supervisor utilize ability to apply them to production problems and contribute to architectural decisions. Employ specialty knowledge across the following areas: data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, and operating systems. Utilize knowledge of data base management system software, development environment software, object oriented development software, program testing software, operating system software, and various programming languages. Utilize knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, and of systems architecture and components, including networking and storage.
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Foreign equivalent accepted. Position requires education or experience in each of the following skills: 1. C, C++, C#, or Java; 2. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting; 3. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction; 4. Designing scalable distributed systems with established partition tolerance, consistency and availability guarantees; 5. Algorithms; 6. Application development using Objective C, C++, Swift, and iOS SDK; 7. Multithreading programming; and 8. Mobile memory management
