 
                                                
                                            Design, develop and modify software applications and systems and related duties as assigned by the Company's engineering management. Perform application development for mobile applications and backend utilizing Java and Objective C and related technologies. Review code and code quality. Build robust, lasting, and scalable software products. Modify existing software to correct errors, allowing it to adapt to new hardware and/or improve performance. Perform Unit testing and Unit test fixture for new and existing applications. Customize automated and advanced tools for the Company's data storage infrastructure that spans across multiple data-centers.
*Required education/experience: Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or closely related occupation; OR Master of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or related field with no experience. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
**Required Skills: Academic knowledge and/or professional experience: Programming languages (at least three of the following): Java, Objective C, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript. Development tools (Proficiency in at least one of the following): Git, Gradle, IntelliJ, Google App Engine. Operating systems: Mac OS, Linux. ***Knowledge/experience means knowledge/experience sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.

Hybrid work permitted -- Snap practices a "default together" approach and expects our team members to work in the Seattle, WA office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week. Base salary: $124,723 - $176,000 per year. This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus award. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
