Service Technician Opportunity

Hello! We are currently hiring for a service technician. This position requires traveling around the state, country, and world. Pay: $25+/hour.

Job Description: We are seeking dedicated mechanical service technicians to assist with the installation of preassembled machinery in various pack houses throughout Washington. This role requires extensive travel and a commitment to working long hours during project installations.

Responsibilities:

• Install fruit and vegetable packing house equipment using blueprints and layout parts.
• Work with a team to assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery such as belt conveyors, sorters, bin dumping equipment, and fruit sizers.
• Utilize MIG and TIG welders and basic hand and power tools to secure machinery.
• Serve existing accounts by investigating complaints, conducting tests, and resolving problems.
• Establish service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components, completing installation, and performing acceptance tests.
• Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and recommending system improvements.
• Produce timely and detailed documentation of service reports, status reports, installation reports, and test reports.
• Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and departmental cross-training.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in using a tape measure and reading blueprints.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Familiarity with mechanical assembly, installation, and preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Electrical/electronics knowledge is a bonus.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment.
• Capability to perform mechanical assembly and rebuilds using fasteners, nuts, rivets, and hand tools.
• Experience in reviewing equipment prior to shipping to ensure smooth operation.

Work Environment:

Work inside pack houses doing installations and service, primarily during the day but occasionally at night depending on workload. Technicians will travel to various client sites from a central location, staying in hotels Monday through Friday. A daily per diem is provided, and hotel accommodations are covered.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Wenatchee, Washington.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $52,000.00 - $62,400.00/yr. Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off (PTO), including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Wenatchee, WA.
