The Senior Patient Services Specialist functions as an integral team member of the Swedish Radiosurgery Center (SRC) and assumes a key role in effective customer service. The Senior PSS exercises independence in the planning and accomplishment of a wide spectrum of clerical and administrative duties. Responsibilities include scheduling of new patient and follow up appointments and subsequent treatments, patient referrals, patient registration, preparing and maintaining the patient's medical record, charge entry and billing issue resolution, answering multiple phone lines and triaging phone calls, preparation of monthly statistics. Excellent communication and problem solving skills around patient care and clinic matters are vital. As a member of the SRC practice team, this position acts as a professional liaison and information resource with patients, families and other departments. In addition this position is occasionally assigned special projects to accomplish independently.
